Newcastle United Forward Is Looking For A New Club: Why The Magpies Should Not Let Him Leave?

Posted on October 27, 2025 by Jsport

Newcastle United face an interesting situation this season. The club’s recent transfer moves show their clear intent to build a stronger squad for the long term. Eddie Howe keeps shaping a new attacking style that relies on young energy and sharp technical skill. The Magpies, who plan to bring back Elliot Anderson and want to sign Joel Ordonez, focus on mixing experience with fresh talent.

Within this setup stands Nick Woltemade. The young striker has quickly drawn attention on Tyneside. The German forward joined Newcastle this summer after impressing with Stuttgart. He scored 17 goals last season for the Bundesliga club.

Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade is already looking for a new club

Since arriving in England, the 23-year-old has adapted well to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. The German centre-forward has already scored six goals in his first 13 games across all competitions this season.

However, despite this bright start, a report from Bild claims Woltemade still dreams of returning home. The 23-year-old hopes to play for Bayern Munich one day. The club tried to sign him during his Stuttgart spell. His ambition surprises no one who knows his confidence and hunger to improve. Still, such talk, so early in his Newcastle career, makes fans uneasy. Many already view Woltemade as a key part of Howe’s attacking plan.

Why the Magpies Must Keep Their New Gem?

Woltemade’s wish to join Bayern Munich may sound natural for a young German, but Newcastle must reject any idea of letting him go. They spent a club-record fee on him in August 2025. The team can’t lose another important forward soon after Alexander Isak’s departure.

His arrival changed the structure of their attack, as he links smoothly with the midfield and presses defenders with intent. More importantly, the German has shown great attitude and effort, which has impressed Howe and his staff.

If Newcastle United do sell him, they will weaken their attack and send the wrong message about their ambition. Losing another rising star will make the club look like a stopover, not a destination. Woltemade’s contract runs until 2031, which gives Newcastle the upper hand. They need to keep him and build their future around him. Selling him now destroys the progress they have worked hard to build.
