The Sky Sport man has confirmed some transfer news that is going to have an impact on Celtic this season.

The January transfer window has just opened but there has already been a decent bit of action surrounding Celtic. The club have already completed the loan signing of Julian Araujo from Bournemouth for the rest of the season. At the same time, they have also announced the departure of Hayato Inamura, who has joined FC Tokyo on a temporary basis.

The Hoops have made a bid for Jocelin Ta Bi as well, with the Ivorian winger likely to be on the move this winter. On the other hand, it looks like one of their own loanees is headed elsewhere after failing to make his presence felt in the first half of the campaign at Parkhead.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Jahmai Simpson-Pusey to 1. FC Koln is a done deal. An agreement has been reached with Manchester City. It is a 6-month loan with an option to buy. The player is expected to complete his medical in Cologne today. If everything goes to plan, he will join the training camp by Tuesday.

It is safe to say that Simpson-Pusey was not having much of an impact at Celtic. He had made only one appearance for the club. So, leaving was the right step for all parties involved.

Now, one has to question whether Celtic gave a fair shake to the defender. Would he not have done better than some of the players who have been given constant chances and failed this season?

As for Celtic, they need to invest in their defence this winter. They look horrible at the back right now to be honest.
