Miley And Murphy To Start | 4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Sunderland

NEWCASTLE UPON

Newcastle United will face off against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure a hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Bayer 04 Leverkusen recently, so they would be keen on getting back to winning ways this weekend.

Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make some tweaks to his first team for this game. Lewis Miley and Jacob Murphy are both expected to play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Aaron Ramsdale will play in goal for the Tyneside club after shipping in a couple of goals in his last outing. Dan Burn will resume his defensive partnership with Malick Thiaw at the heart of Howe’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.

Tino Livramento will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Lewis Hall hopes to put in a good showing on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Midfield

Lewis Miley, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will anchor the midfield for the Magpies as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and orchestrating some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Joe Willock will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed. However, Joelinton will be in a race against time to be fit for this clash.

Attack

Anthony Gordon will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank, while Jacob Murphy looks to give a good account of himself on the right wing.

Nick Woltemade will lead the line for the Magpies in the final third. He failed to score in his last outing and would be eager to make a difference for Newcastle United versus the Black Cats this weekend.

Yoane Wissa will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the final quarter if needed.
