Newcastle United star Nick Pope is up for an award..

The Newcastle United goalkeeper nominated for the PFA Premier League player of the month.

Which is for September 2025 performances.

Jacob Murphy is one of six nominees.

The other five are Omar Alderete, Ryan Gravenberch, Erling Haaland, Antoine Semenyo and Martin Zubimendi.

Newcastle United official announcement – 6 October 2025:

‘Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope has been nominated for September’s PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month award.

The Magpies stopper has been in fine form during his side’s promising start to the campaign, recording five clean sheets in seven top flight outings so far.

It has been a superb start for United from a defensive perspective and Pope – who passed the 100-appearance mark for Eddie Howe’s side last month – has been shortlisted for the monthly award, along with Sunderland’s Omar Alderete, Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo and Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi.

Voting opens at 12pm BST on Monday, 6th October, and Magpies supporters can vote for Pope by clicking here.’
