Sky Sports Confirms Celtic Have Agreed Fee in Latest Transfer Move. Sky Sports reporter, Anthony Joseph, has confirmed that Celtic have agreed a transfer fee over the signing.

Celtic will have to be active in this winter transfer window. Martin O’Neill might have won seven out of his eight games in charge during his interim spell earlier in the season, but a lot of the performances during that run were not up to the mark. If that kind of form is to be sustainable in the long run, some genuine quality needs to be added to what is a weak squad.

One of the areas where Celtic need to improve this winter is on the wings. The summer signings of Sebastian Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha have not had the desired effect, with both struggling to make their presence felt.

Celtic are not going to go out and bring in some proven quality to bolster their ranks on the flanks though. Instead, the club look set to make another project signing in hopes that this one will work out differently from the previous few.

As reported by Anthony Joseph, Celtic are finalising a deal for Maccabi Netanya winger Jocelin Ta Bi. It’s understood the clubs have agreed a fee of around £2m. The player has also agreed a long-term contract with the Scottish champions.

So, it looks like it is only a matter of time before Ta Bi is a Celtic player. It remains to be seen whether he is able to come in and make an impact from the get-go, or whether he will need time to find his feet at Parkhead.

He has earned a lot of plaudits for his performances so far. But the reality is that he is not someone you view as a first-team-ready signing.

Ta Bi is 20 years of age. He has only 40 senior appearances to his name and has not played at the highest level.
