For Bayern Munich, they hoped the future would see him leading their attack. However, Munich could not afford Woltemade, which opened the door for Newcastle United to swoop in.
That is something that the Bundesliga giants are already regretting.

That is according to journalist Danny Kelly, who has spoken about Bayern Munich’s reaction to missing out on Woltemade to Newcastle United on the latest episode of the View From The Lane podcast.
Kelly says he was told that Bayern Munich missing out on Woltemade was also to do with his potential game-time at the Allianz Arena, with Harry Kane already leading the line there.
“All I will say about that very quickly, and from talking to my colleagues on Trans Europe Express [podcast], is that Bayern Munich are beside themselves with fury that Nick Woltemade went to Newcastle,” he said.
