Celtic Fans Collective Speak Out on Possible Green Brigade Return to Parkhead

Posted on March 11, 2026 by Jsport

Talks have recently taken place between Celtic F.C. and the Green Brigade regarding the potential return of the ultras to Celtic Park ahead of the crucial title run-in.

The Green Brigade have now been banned from the stadium for around 18 weeks following an alleged incident during Celtic’s victory over Falkirk back in October. The situation led the club to take action against the group, resulting in approximately 250 members being excluded from attending matches.

While the authorities have yet to identify or deal with the specific individuals responsible, the wider ban on the supporter group has remained in place — a decision many fans believe amounts to excessive collective punishment.

According to a statement from the Celtic Fans Collective following recent events at Ibrox Stadium, any potential return of the Green Brigade to the North Curve section of Celtic Park may ultimately depend on approval from Police Scotland.

The statement suggests that supporters could be asked to trust new policing and stewarding arrangements put in place for matchdays. However, fans have reportedly not been given advance details about what these measures would involve or how the area would operate if the group were readmitted.

The Fans Collective also expressed concern over recent crowd-control issues, noting that these events have raised questions about whether new safety plans would be effectively implemented.

Pressure Builds During Title Run-In

With the league race entering a decisive stage, some supporters believe continuing the ban on the Green Brigade could affect the atmosphere at Celtic Park during the final home matches of the season.

Despite their controversies over the years, the group is widely recognised for the colour, noise and energy they bring to games. Their presence has often been credited with creating an intense atmosphere that can help drive the team forward in key moments.

With several crucial matches still to be played at Paradise, the debate over the Green Brigade’s return continues to divide opinion among fans and observers alike.
