Arsenal ‘Agree to Sign’ Twin Brothers With One Dubbed the ‘Next Neymar’

Posted on December 2, 2025 by Jsport

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Ecuadorian twin brothers with one of them drawing comparisons to Neymar.

Arsenal are enjoying a superb campaign this season as they sit at the top of both the Premier League table and the Champions League standings.

Mikel Arteta could delve into the transfer market when the window reopens in the new year to strengthen their already commanding position.

But the club are plotting transfers beyond the January transfer window.

That’s because Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle to sign Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero from Independiente Del Valle when they turn 18 in August 2027.

According to ESPN, Edwin and Holger are in London this week and are expected to complete formalities, including signing their contracts ahead of a formal announcement.

Fabrizio Romano also reported on Arsenal’s deal.

“Arsenal agree deal to sign 16 year old Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero from Independiente Del Valle,” he wrote on X.

“Agreement in place after Quintero brothers travelled to London this week to join #AFC. Deal valid from when they turn 18 in 2027.”

Arsenal fended off fierce competition from a host of top clubs across Europe to land the Quintero twins.

ESPN state Arsenal have been tracking the pair for ‘well over a year’, with Edwin described as a pacy right winger who has been compared to a young Neymar while Holger is viewed as an attacking midfielder.

What they are paying for the 16-year-olds remains unclear but the move continues the club’s drive to recruit the bes talent of the next generation, having completed a deal to sign Victor Ozhianvuna, who will join the Gunners from Shamrock Rovers in January 2027 when he turns 18.

Ecuadorian side Independiente are renowned for developing talent, having produced Moises Caicedo, who joined Chelsea in a £115 million transfer, and Piero Hincapie, who signed for Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen for £45 million in the summer.

Per the report, the deal is viewed as a major coup for Arsenal’s academy recruitment team and sources state a key factor was the clear pathway to the first-team identified by the recent progress of Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
